We Survived

We made it through the storm with no problems. Basically, we waited for nothing to happen. I know I should be grateful because so many people were not lucky. We were certain very bad things would happen so my husband and Z moved cars, packed tools, and worried about limbs falling on power lines. Nothing happened. It's not even raining now. We worried about our dogs. We wondered if it would get cold enough to turn on the heat. The lights flickered so we worried about that. Nothing happened. The worst was when I wished I had brought my yarn in because I was bored. The rain slacked up some. I rushed out to the studio only to discover that both me and my yarn box couldn't fit between my work table and my shelves. I tried to drag it out, but I had to move too much out of the way. In the end, I gathered an armload and darted through the rain. And that was the worst of the hurricane they wanted to classify as a category 6. I'm very sure when the next storm comes through there won't be all this prepping and then people will die because when the warnings air people will just change the channel.

Thank goodness you are all okay if a little bored. Better to be safe than sorry.xx
